I heard on the radio this morning that inefficient decade old refineries in the San Gabriel Valley will be brought back online soon. I guess the drillers also expect gas prices to hold up and even the small refineries are now very profitable.</description>

		<description>Very good point on the oil price. I think the high oil price is good. It will force the Americans to drive less, to save more for the food instead of paying expensive mortgage.</description>

but my two cents... we are only at the very beginning of some very interesting times. 

The price of oil is not going down. Production hasn&#039;t gone up as much as demand has over the last couple of years, which means high oil prices are here to stay. What does this mean? Lots of things, but I think that long commutes are history, communities not near rapid transit will suffer.

So please ping your local congressman that the extension of the metro is needed urgently.
